Apple Watch Is Not Connecting To Peloton

You’ve got your Apple Watch, and it’s paired up with your Peloton, but when you try to start a workout, it says that the device isn’t connected. If your Apple Watch is paired but isn’t connecting, there are a few things you can try to solve the problem.

First, check your Apple Watch’s battery. Ensure it’s charged up and that the charging cable is correctly inserted into the Peloton bike. Try plugging your bike into a different outlet. If you’re still getting the error message on your Apple Watch, try restarting the app on your phone. If one of these options doesn’t work, there’s only one more thing to try: Resetting your Apple Watch.

These solutions only work in some instances, so read on to find more ways to fix it.

Everything You Should Know About Peloton

First things first: What is Peloton? The brand is likely most renowned for its initial offering, the Peloton Bike. The Peloton Bike is like an exercise bike on steroids. It’s designed to be used at home, and features speakers at the back and a sizeable screen in front. With this high-tech bike, individuals can take part in classes offered through the company’s app and a Peloton All-Access membership.

Peloton makes other equipment such as treadmills and ellipticals (though these are not all in every region). There are also two bikes available

– Bike

– Bike+

There are also accessories for your bike, including shoes, weights, heart rate monitor, etc. However, if you’re interested in fitness, there’s apparel too. These include resistance bands or even just a mat to lay down on while working out. You’ll all sorts of equipment via their app if you’re in need of anything.

The Bifference Between Bike and Bike+

The Bike+ has a rotating 23.8-inch HD touchscreen and four-channel sound. In contrast, the initial Peloton Bike incorporates a smaller 21.5-inch HD touchscreen with two 10 watt speakers.

You can also integrate the bike with Apple GymKit to help synchronize your workout with your Apple Watch.

Additionally, the resistance knob on the Bike+ automatically adjusts under the instructor’s recommendations for your workout session. This is not offered on the original Peloton bike. You have to adjust manually each time you go into an intense training moment.

The Benefit of Connecting Apple Watch To Peloton

Peloton offers many advantages, but one of the best things about pairing your Apple Watch with your bike is that you never have to take your phone out of your pocket. Having your phone nearby while you ride can be distracting, and it poses a safety hazard. By not having your phone on you, it’s more likely that you’ll remain on your bike and be safe.

Troubleshooting Apple Watch Is Not Connecting To Peloton

If you can get your Apple Watch connected to your Peloton, but it’s not showing up in the Peloton app, you can try a few things.

1. Restart the Peloton

This should be your first port of call when experiencing any problems. To do this, you’ll need to shut down your Peloton by holding in the power button. You’ll find the button behind the screen. Select the “Shut Down” option when it appears.

Next, wait for at least 10 seconds before pressing the power button to start you bike up again. Wait for 1 minute with the settings turned off, then turn them back on again. Then try pairing again with Peloton.

2. Re-check the Connection

Make sure both your Peloton and Apple Watch are charged up and working correctly. Make sure the Apple Watch and bike are close to each other. Your Apple Watch needs to be within a 100-foot Bluetooth range of your Peloton to connect.

3. Force Restart Your Apple Watch

It’s possible that the problem may lie with your watch and not the bike. In this case, you should execute what is called a “force restart”. Simply hold down the two buttons on the side of your Apple Watch and the Digital Crown at the same time. Do so for approximately 10 seconds. Once restarted, check to see if your Apple Watch is connecting to Peloton.

4. Toggle Detection Setting

Look for an option labeled “Detect Gym Equipment” towards the bottom of the settings app in the Workout section. Wait for a minute before turning it back on again, at which point you will be able to pair the two devices together.

5. Contact The Customer Support Center

Suppose you’re still having trouble getting your Apple Watch to sync with your Peloton bike. It may be time to give customer support a call. Peloton provides excellent customer service, and they’d be happy to help you get your cycling and fitness groove back on.

Customer service is available 9 am to 9 pm ET seven days a week at 1-866-679-9129. You can also email [email protected].

The Apple Watch is a fantastic fitness wearable. It will even track some of your workouts with the help of its built-in heart rate monitor. And if you live cycling, there’s no better at-home experience than the Peloton Bike paired with your Apple Watch.
